2. Passed TARP famously stating: Bush: “I’ve abandoned free market principles to save the free market system”

Bush fell victim to that all too prevalent political agenda, his legacy. Bush thought that politics were no different than student body president, a popularity contest. Bush wanted everyone to like him.
