When Bob Dylan sang For the times they are a-changin he was not referring to relations between Israel and Russia, but his lyrics might just fit at the present time. No one can speak of a Russian tropical heat wave towards Israel but it isnt surprising the temperatures rising. The relationship may be heading to a beautiful friendship if not the beginning of love...

Will do! Thank you!

~Someone who threatens to nuke Poland and Ukraine will be no friend in the end.~
LOL. Like if said coutries are the best loved in Israel:)
Given Russia’s current friends, it’s Russia that’s the focus here. Neither Warsaw nor Kiev (or however they are transliterating those cities names these days) threatened to nuke Moscow. But I would say that there have been some unreported threats out of the Ayatollah to nuke Moscow.
Is it the bit about Gog Magog?
Yes, Russia will lead a coalition against Israel. The coalition includes Iran, Turkey, Libya, and others.
Or maybe Gog/Magog will actually be Turkey instead.
Maybe the Russia being the whole Gog?Magog bit may have basically been the result of Cold War era sentiments.

I wonder what is behind your worldview regarding foreign policy?
Probably some hallucinogenic mushrooms or something.
Ezekiel 38 speaks of Gog king of Magog, not Russia by name. You may want to speculate that that must mean Russia, and you may be right or wrong, but you must keep the distinction between text and interpretation firmly in mind. With the present administration, I wouldn’t be surprised if Gog king of Magog is really Barry, or it could also be DAESH (ISIS to some), or both, or all three, or Persia (Iran to some).
So run from one relationship with a superpower into another? This has been going on for too long. From the Greeks to the Romans to the Ottomans to the British to the Americans, it simply doesn’t work. One superpower is just as bad as any other. Russia is not to be trusted either, any more than China. We must find our allies among fellow Eastern minorities, from India to Cyprus and Greece, not to mention Armenia and South Sudan, and such allies of convenience as the Kurds, Alawites and Balluchis. We must all hang together on the vast Islamic sea, if we don’t want to hang separately, vainly hoping that the ocean liner in the distance will decide to rescue us.
Do some research. Magog, historically, has always been known as the land to the extreme north of Israel. Draw a line directly north and you end up in Moscow. Even Jewish historians called the Scythians the land of Magog. This prophecy has yet to be fulfilled, but it could be very soon.
I suppose it is possible, however Josephus and other Jewish Historians have always interpreted Magog as Russia.
To the extreme North of Israel is the Arctic Circle. Russia would be bound to be somewhere in between. Separate interpretation from text. It’s a moot point, anyway. When the Big One comes, we’ll know perfectly well what Ezekiel 38 means, and there won’t be any quibbling.
