You have it right. Most others seem to not get it and are hung up on whether this is good or bad for cops. All electronic firearm stuff is bad for freedom. When the 'internet of things' encompasses the tools of freedom there will no longer be freedom. Companies that push this stuff should be shamed and boycotted out of business.

Cops have no such freedom while on the job. I can see several valid applications to this. First, officer safety. Second, stopping thugs from pulling the gun just to be a tough guy.
