If being a Democrat weren’t a religion, I might agree with you.

Religious beliefs are affected by taxation. In fact, discriminatory taxation was in large part why majority non-Muslim populations conquered by Muslim armies mostly converted to Islam, to the point that the formerly Christian Middle East because overwhelmingly Muslim. (Of course, that process took many hundreds of years, so anyone looking for a GOP rebound in CO today is gonna be disappointed).

CO’s large “moderate white” population imagines itself as the impartial arbiters of “good” and “decency”, but evil and indecency always seem to prevail there.
