The FR voter suppression crew needs a time out.
People who complain about the republicans not doing anything about voter fraud are fools. Voting laws are still about 90% under the jurisdiction of the individual states.
In Michigan we elected SOS Ruth Johnson and AG Bill Schuette who both take election fraud very seriously and work together to strengthen our election laws. When the feds refused to help Johnson purge dead and illegal voters from the voter rolls, she found other means and purged some 11,000 ineligible people from the voter rolls. We also have new laws in place that require strict election night oversight and auditing of traditionally problem precincts. There have also been dozens of convictions on charges related to vote fraud over the past 4 years.
There will always be election fraud but if the people of the individual states elect the right people it will be minimized.
Actually, you’re wrong on that for Congressional elections.
Per Article 1, Section 5 of the US Constitution the House and the Senate are the ultimate judges of the elections of their (respective) members.
The technical solution to this problem is clear as day: a GOP controlled Senate refusing to seat Udall based on substantive evidence of voting fraud.
But we have to get TO a GOP Senate for that to happen. And pull out the stops in persuading the GOP Senate leadership to act on it.
