from the pic I can see why Slump Tester thought it was more of an axe. It looks a bit longer, especially since it looks like he has a two-handed grip on it, when that’s probably not the case.
But axe or hatchet... In the larger picture it doesn’t really matter. Either way it’s a fearsome weapon. In the hands of someone who knows how to use it... Very difficult to defend.
