I fail to see how this was a victory for the IRS. They gave the tax exempt status to get out of the case. Yes, the IRS and the IRS officials who attacked conservative groups must be punished, but I don’t see this judgment as a total loss.
If they had continued to deny tax exempt status and the case was thrown out, then that would be a loss. Keep plugging away at these commie loving bureaucrats. It isn’t over, yet.
It does appear they can ruin you financially then allow your tax exempt status and they are then off the hook.

In agreement with your synopsis.
“I fail to see how this was a victory for the IRS. They gave the tax exempt status to get out of the case.”
Let me help you out here. You see this sets the precedent
that denying is just delaying indefinitely. Now they can do
it again and all they have to do is delay the trial until
after the election then grant the tax exempt status and
they are off the hook. No one was held accountable and as
far as this ignorant judge is concerned no harm done.
Victory? The IRS can disenfranchise and deny voters their
first amendment right at will, well at least delay it.
Right. Now the Tea Party groups are free to educate the voters on the issues facing us in 2012. Can the voters go back in time and change their votes?
Correct. They should appeal.
