Important point: He saved his family. They were physically unharmed after this. Total hero. He even got shot and I suspect it was by putting himself between his family and the punks. Total hero.

Agreed! I just hope & pray he recovers. He’s out of surgery but still critical. Imagine shooting so well under such circumstances. He deserves a medal.
