i flat out don’t get the reasoning in this

if i robbed a bank, but stopped robbing banks now - nothing can be done in the legal system?

Yeah, don’t pay your taxes andsee if you ca gettoff scott free if you pay taxes this year. Corrupt judges need to be tarred and feathered.
