There seems to be modest immunity at this time and may have to do with coming into contact with a very small number of virons in the past from bushmeat or bat droppings.
This is nothing to do with genetics; it is acquired immunity and will not be passed on. The actual Ebola infections are not widespread enough to cause future community immunity through natural selection, even if a genetic resistance exists.
No I’m saying that the main test used for detecting Ebola can sometimes be wrong, either in the positive or negative.
