What I found interesting about the footage of the gunfight in the Hall of Honors, was that the first responders, and I think there are three agencies in that area, ran towards the shooter who was on his way to the library.
I remember during the Navy Shipyard massacre, the first responders were staged blocks away for quite a while. Thew Canadians acted quickly and decisively.
These guys had their weapons at the ready or were actively shooting as they pursued him. And from entering the side door and being neutralized, this was, according to a reporter witness, over in three minutes.
