I'm with you 100% in spirit, but until someone builds a party machine to equal the existing Republican mechanism voting for anyone other than the Republican in a general election will accomplish absolutely nothing positive, and will only lead to more Democrats being elected. It's not complicated - that's the only possible outcome, unfortunately.
That's why the only rational strategy is to use the primary system to change the party from within. It's also important to get involved in the internal party machinations, beginning at the caucus level. If enough conservatives got involved in the party itself, instead of sitting in the corner and pouting by casting meaningless protest votes, things would change.
Allow me to summarize:No, there is no flaw I could find in that whatsoever.
The solution is what it has always been. Stop feeding the problem. If you want toe GOP to turn right, you stop giving it approval everytime it runs leftist candidates. You do that by not voting for their leftists.
If you vote for their leftists, you have given them your approval and as has been repeated for 30 years, they run an even more leftist.
This is all basic civics 101 stuff. We have said this for years and been ignored by people that new better. Well here we are. 100% the fault of people that ignored the founders, Reagan, basic logic and common sense a 5 year old could manage.
There is no magic bullet. You want conservatives? Really? Then start now. There is no tomorrow, no next time. Thats crap. You start by saying no today to leftist republicans. And if it hurts? Pay attention next time.
