Early voting in Illinois got off to a rocky start Monday, as votes being cast for Republican candidates were transformed into votes for Democrats.
Republican state representative candidate Jim Moynihan went to vote Monday at the Schaumburg Public Library.
I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast the vote for my opponent, Moynihan said. You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.

This could be the explanation for Obama’s victory in 2012.
Don’t worry. Snopes will get to the bottom of this. /sarc
I wonder if anybody has checked whether voting Dem switches the vote to Repub?
Also, I don’t understand “calibration.” Isn’t a computer vote just a bit/no-bit answer to a straightforward question?
I used to work at a race track. Our betting machines were just specialized computer terminals with a small printer built in for the tickets. If there was ever a dispute about a bet, the line supervisor could call for an audit of the terminal down to the last keystroke. Don’t tell me they couldn’t do the same thing for these voting machines.
This happened extensively last time around, enough that the popular vote probably actually went against the Sultan. That is why I am not on tenterhooks expecting substantial gains by the non-Opposition Party. It would not surprise me terribly if the Democrats gain governorships in the vote count and a Senate Seat and perhaps even the House. A Soros company has the vote counting franchise for most of the electronic voting machines and the count wipes the machines so there is no recount possible and no record for the touch screens. Most of the rest of the electronic machines are hackable. It all depends on the wishes of George.
It will happen many times in ALL the Democrat controlled districts no matter how many times the early voting flips are called out. There is not recovery once the final votes are made. And it is not really necessary for the machines to show you the person you actually voted for. They can be programmed or hacked to show a vote for the Republican while actually registering a vote for the Democrat.
Yes. If it is going to happen it will happen in the next two years. After this election the Sultan will go all out for total control and Shariah. Amnesty and EO proclamation of citizenship for the 34 million illegals for whom work permits are being printed up even now will permanently lock in the Democrat Party as the Ruling Party which by the end of this term will be a Mohammedan organization.
That would be a very small price to pay.
Oh, I have no doubt that it was “calibration error.” My question is who did the calibration on that machine, as well as any others used by Republican voters in that precinct. In my experience, Republican-registered voters are often pointed to different voting booths than are Dems (not sure about other parties or Independents; maybe they get their choice), so it would be simple enough for someone to calibrate the touch screens of those intended for GOP voters so that the selection registers a vote for the Dem candidate.
If they keep pushing the vote cheat, and we don’t revolt to the point of stopping the vote cheat, then we get what we deserve.
Last night the TV show “Person of Interest” included in the script an election where thousands of votes were manipulated to change the outcome.
I’ve always preferred paper ballots.
This is cause for an immediate, extensive audit, performed by neutral technicians hired by both parties, to check the operation of ALL the voting machines. If any more “mis-calibrated” machines are discovered, all such machines need to be removed from use until better safeguards are in place. It’s not enough just to fix the one machine involved here. This discredits the whole voting system.
Well, at least nobody has called it a "glitch" yet.
Just a coincidence, or merely a technical glitch?

Just a thought.
There are probably a number of ways to secure accurate voting, I would prefer that a voter selects a pin number when registering, after the person votes, the pin number and the results of each voter is posted online with a verification or rejection button, that allows each voter to confirm or reject their vote.
Or, the purple finger would work and is more direct.
And that implies that the touch sensitive map had to be tied by code to the democrat choice. Coding a cheat is not the same as calibrating a touch sensitive map area to appear in a specific position.
Taking either point of view, it is blatant cheating, something the democrat party has done for many decades.
