From ecological destruction to changing weather patterns, man bears ultimate responsibility for the spread of deadly diseases.
Climate change is no longer controversial it's happening. And some experts say it's responsible for the spread of Ebola to humans, as well as the increasingly frequent outbreaks of the deadly disease....

Did the little ice age in the 900 - 1300’s’s cause the black death? What about the potato famine?
Of course it is. It’s also responsible for the Lindbergh kidnapping, Jimmy Hoffa’s disappearance, and disco.
Time and money wasted on climate change could be responsible for time and money not put into virus research and readiness.
Equally sensible question: “Are potatoes greater than the square root of snow tires in Guam?”
Both are non sequiturs.
*I have a hang nail, and I just KNOW its because of climate change.*
If you have a hang nail, its because of climate change.
If your hang nail is cured, its because of climate change.
If you don’t have a hang nail, it’s because of a “Pause” in the Climate.
Whatever space the marble lands on in the Climate Change roulette wheel, the Government Supremacists win.
Oh good lord!
The Earth has been getting warmer or colder for 4,000,000,000 years. The only constant in Earths environment is change. It will continue to change till its consumed by the Sun.
Man has been on earth .00075% of Earths age or 300,000 years.
Earth will continue to change after man is long gone.
The universe is dynamic. Suns supernova, galaxies collide, planets are formed and lost in black holes daily.
Man is merely a brief observer, not the cause.
Why didn’t I think of that? It’s so obvious, right there in front of my face this whole time, I’m such an idiot. /s
A link to this thread has been posted on the Ebola Surveillance Thread
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
