Nothing but My guess is they use nurse practitioners.
I like FNP...more patient oriented because of their nursing degree. Besides all FNP and PA are supervised by MD
They might use nurse practioners, but so does ObamaCare. When the employer mandate kicks in next year, employers will quit offering health insurance and will dump millions of employees into ObamaCare. We won’t be able to keep our doctors and compared to the nightmare of government run medical care, the Walmart clinics may look pretty good to us.
My wife is an NP.
One, great example: she works in a large pool of doctors; about 28 of them. There are 5-6 NPs.
They were all instructed to study up and get certified to administer some of the new State-required DOT physical exams. The cert test was comprehensive and Board reviewed.
After one year, not one doctor has passed the exam. All of the NPs passed on the first try.
NPs should not be confused with PAs, RNs, nor LPNs nor should anyone feel cheated by seeing one; especially in an acute care setting.
We are heading towards a pay as you go medical system and moving steadily away from an insurance-based system. One of the good side-effects of ObamaCare.
Nurse Practitioners are handling a larger share of the patients load nationally. The trend grows with Obolacare.
The Wal-Mart clinic in Forest City, NC is staffed with Nurse Practitioners or Physicians Assistants. They are more than capable of giving high quality medical care. Anything more serious than they are trained/equipped for they refer to an MD.
