Yesterday’s news was they would remain in Liberia for treatment if they came down with Ebola.

Read your source again, this is the first paragraph.

""If any American soldiers in Liberia contract the deadly Ebola virus, they will be quarantined, stabilized, and evacuated to a medical facility for treatment, said the Ebola mission commander, adding that the U.S. military hospitals that will admit potentially infected troops have not yet been identified.""

I will say that many of us took a beating here for almost two months for saying that American GIs should be allowed to come home for top medical treatment.

“Read your source again,.....”

“.....adding that the U.S. military hospitals that will admit potentially infected troops have not yet been identified.”

THAT statement means they stay there. If there are no facilities identified for transfer of the Ebola victim as the Ebola mission Commander states, then there is no transfer of that victim. It’s as simple as that. No destination identified they aren’t going to ship a diseased military asset anywhere. He/she stays right there in Liberia, or wherever they are until a facility is identified.

There are four hospitals with eleven beds in the USA that are certified to handle Ebola victims. What about the military? Do you know?
