I don’t have a military background, but those uniforms in the picture look pretty sloppy to me.
My father was in the NG, and, as a child, I remember how military he looked in is regular fatigues (this would have been early 70s). Shirt tucked in with belt, polished boots.
The soldiers in the pic on the site look like hospital orderlies with camo scrubs. I guess I haven’t been paying all that much attention to military uniforms, but I know from experience in the business world that when you are dressed well, you carry yourself better and generally act more professional. I would think that would apply to the military as well.
Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) was designed to be more functional than the old green fatigues. Starch and ironing are a big no/no as they, theoretically, degrade the camo effect.
