I think a Lugar is incapable of stopping anything dangerous except a conservative. Thankfully, they are no longer seen publicly.
lot’s of stuff that could snag...
CZ makes the RAMI in .40 S&W. Upgrade.
Perhaps you are looking at this weapon because of price. My particular brand of “Gun Religion” causes me to favor the Colt New Agent with a Crimson Trace.
The snagging beavertail is not to my taste, but some like it.
Uhhhh, Luger...
Ooooo! I likes me a .45!
I am not familiar with that particular model but CZ has an extremely good reputation. They were good even when they were in a Communist country.
The 9mm is a fine defense cartridge just as long as you use good ammo.
CZ 9mm are nice handguns. Probably the best kept handgun secret in the USA.
A CZ P-01 is my wife’s choice for carry as she likes the larger grip over the RAMI’s as well as the de-cocking feature that comes on the P-01. Keeps it loaded with +P ammo and utilizes a CrimsonTrace laser sight on it. The thing is deadly accurate. I’ve shot it a few times. It’s an impressive handgun. Never shot a RAMI though.
Me? I have no guns. They all got lost in a terrible boating accident and went to the bottom of the deep, blue sea. I was lucky to get out alive. But But, IF I were to carry, it would likely be a Glock Model 30, Gen 4 in .45ACP.
I own and carry 2 CZ75 Compacts with 14 rds of 9mm and think they are fantastic pistols. I don’t know of anything that CZ makes that would be considered less than great.
Huh?
The FBI tends to disagree. Their reasoning is that most LEOs (and most other people) are lousy shots. Something like 85% of shots fired miss the lethal area of the target. Therefore, more bullets is better.
Furthermore, getting shot with anything hurts - a lot and no handgun has real "stopping power". You want stopping power, bring a rifle or a shotgun but be aware that you are sacrificing the element of surprise, they're heavy, awkward to lug around and people will look at you funny
Oh. Whoops.
Me too. Don’t like the extra weight tho.
Don’t focus first on the pistol, it’s just the launching platform.....
Focus on the mission you need the weapon for and the bect catridge that fits it....
Then find the best platform (pistol) that fits your need......
Otherwise you will be chasing the 9mm vs .45vs .357 sig vs.40 ect...
The best weapon you have is the one that is there when you need it....
Example...If you are small and wear light clothes in a warm climate...a large frame .45 would probably be a poor choice..
You would never carry it for obvious reasons...
I’ve actively carried concealed for 30 years.... although I have my favorite calibers and guns, I fit the weapon to the mission at hand...
"I'll show you 9 millimeters!"
Condescending and wrong. Nice combo shot.
I carry a 1911 45 ACP or 357 snub Revolver. Carry something with lots of PUNCH!
Just taking the opportunity to rag on a RINO. Good luck with finding the answer to your question.
