Thank you both.
I am pretty sure most of us have been in the other camp before and understand the consequences from experience. It’s too easy to become that ex-smoker whom everyone hates. :)
Most of those across the camp are not the enemy; they are truly caught up in the moment and filled with emotion. Our focus needs to be strategic—something most military officers struggle for years to really understand. Routing the fifth column is not done overnight.
It is a shame when honorable people fight one another rather than the dishonorable politicians who cynically initiate the fracas to distract everyone from their true machinations.
Some are as you say. But many are veterans of the Romney wars who didn’t like the fact that everything they were told would happen in supporting him did happen. the GOP went hard left, he lost and we all paid the price.
Nor it’s about saving face. There is no honor in those people. there is anger and frustration and a real mad-on because they were wrong. And rather than simply doing the right thing and fighting to advance conservatism, they fight those fighting for conservatism.
I agree. We have all made mistakes. But we learned and did not try sabotaging the movement and the very philosophy by rewriting it to be RINO lite. We admitted out mistake and fought the right fight.
I agree with you.
This. Times a trillion.
