OK so Ronald Reagan was not even good enough for you. That tells us a lot, you are a party of one. Best of luck getting what you want.

Bush had really good momentum in the last full week of the campaign.

Then that d-bag Lawrence Walsh dropped all those Iran-Contra indictments. Many voters who were returning to Bush either stayed home or voted for Perot.

“And how do you do that with Mitt sending out his squads to torpedo them in those primaries? How?”

Torpedo them right back. You don’t give up and cry like a little girl.

Work to get your candidate nominated, if you don’t you have to accept that and try harder next time.

And you did that huh? Yup. you sure did. So much so the fear you struck sent them screaming to a microphone to promise amnesty on their empowerment.

IF the GOP got the majority, they could be persuaded to drop amnesty.

Why don't they oppose amnesty and campaign on that opposition? Polls consistently show that not only are the vast majority of Americans opposed to it, but it's also one of the top issues among voters.

The fact that a Republican in public office would even need to be "persuaded" to drop this issue is pathetic -- and is indicative of just how tone-deaf the leadership of that party has become. I'm sure the establishment GOP is gearing up a big PR campaign to place the blame for their defeats on the "Tea Party types and purists who stayed home," but that will hold no water when they themselves came down on the wrong side of such an important issue among their own supporters.

Also pathetic that some of their voters are so tone deaf they do not see the issue you describe.

Standing on the sidelines, playing on the kiddie playground, same thing.
Your utter worthlessness is noted.
Run along now.

Ouch, now Cripplecreek I have some respect for you, but that was utterly uncalled for.
How is saying that one should stick to their principles rather than aid what they consider reprehensible, foolish, or evil a bad thing?

Let's take one issue: Amnesty.
I don't want it passed, I think it would be stupid to do so. We have the GOP as-a-party essentially saying they'll push it if they get power — why should I support this?

Or, let's talk about what they've [not] done: they control the House — that means funding.
Have they cut funding to agencies that clearly overstep Constitutional restraints? (e.g. the NSA, w/ its domestic espionage; the TSA w/ its SOP of routinely violating the 4th)
Have they cut the funding of corrupt agencies? (e.g. the IRS, w/ its politically-based targeting; the EPA w/ its tyrannical and unreasonable vindictiveness?)

So, considering that they've not used what power they do have to any effect, why should we give them more?
Jesus's parable of the Talents is, I think, imminently applicable to the Republican party: that they took what we gave them and buried it.

I understand where you are coming from, I just don’t agree.

Of all the candidates on both sides, we got the worst possible choice in the last 2 elections . It is beyond sad the road we are on. I want our country to go back the other way.

I am old and probably won’t be here to see where this road ends.

The establishment GOP is the enemy of conservatism/tea party. And they have a huge amount of money to crush conservative candidates.

If anyone can show me through fact and logic how we go right by voting left, I’ll shut up now and forever. but the simple fact is as long as we continue to elect Republicans that are every bit liberal because we are to scared to do anything else, we get what we vote for. More liberal government.

And a huge army of online sycophants here and across the internet right wing sites to carry out their well funded plan.

We see several here today.

They are here, and everywhere else. We shall see who is right about amnesty, if and when the Repubs take the Senate.
The Chamber of Commerce OWNS McConnell,McCain,Flake,et al. The CoC wants cheap labor, and plenty of it. They have the clout. We shall see. I say they sell us out.
