“The alternative is to leave a hard liberal with delusions of Godhood in power.”

The problem is, no matter what we do, there is a 99% percent chance that is going to be the outcome anyway. So you are basically proposing we risk all the outcomes that I enumerated, for almost no chance of avoiding what you claim to want to avoid.

“We have to stop thinking solely in terms of ‘winning’ when that win only worsens the problems. We have to start thinking in what will fix this mess, or more realistically, what will BEGIN the path of fixing this mess.”

Okay, but I haven’t heard you propose anything that might begin to fix it, you are just proposing a fantasy that accomplishes nothing, because it might make us feel like we are doing something.

“Continuing to make excuses for why something ‘can’t’ be done is not going to do anything but assist the left in finishing us quicker.”

They aren’t excuses, they are pragmatic realities. A sitting president has not been forcibly removed from office in the entire history of the United States, and it has never even been attempted by the route you are proposing. Not to mention, such a route would entail basically skirting the intent of the amendment in order to even attempt it, based upon a pretense that only even a minority of the Republican party would accede to. It’s pure fantasy that this would ever yield the result you hope for.

“Yoda logic works. Do or don’t do. There is no try. This, as are most issues, is binary. We either fight out 2 years (at least depending on how badly he decides to cling to power) with Barry, allowing a wannabee deity free reign via the GOP funding/inaction, or we fight it.”

No, it’s not even binary. We don’t have a choice. We can only fight Barry for 2 years, because he is the President we have, and barring some unforeseen circumstance, he’s the only one we are going to get until 2016. It seems like instead of accepting that fact, and thinking of ways we can limit the damage he can do, you just want to fantasize that we can undo the results of an election through some Hail Mary play.

“No failure on our part will result in more evil than he has planned for us to begin with. Ergo there is no downside.”

Yes, our failure could result in more evil. I just demonstrated in my last post how it could lead to more evil, even a 3rd term of Obama. Is that not evil? You want to enable him to serve a third term, by our doing?

“We aren’t at that point yet. Close though. But if we can’t even act on the constitutional provisions that George gave us to fix exactly this situation/A25”

#1.. George didn’t give us Amendment 25, but that’s not important. What is important is #2, the people who wrote Amendment 25 never intended it to be used in this kind of situation. No medical doctor has assessed Obama as being incapable of serving, it’s simply your subjective opinion, based on an obvious rationalization that it might be a way to get around the fact that impeachment won’t work. Yet, impeachment is really the true remedy they gave us to fix this exact situation, not A25. If we could impeach him, it might be worth a shot, but we can’t. Neither can we gain anything by your rather imaginative, but ultimately pointless, proposal.

We may as well agree to disagree because I pretty much completely am on the opposite universe to everything you suggest.

Your proposals come down to ‘hide in a corner and pray’. Mine are enact the 25th as it was intended. Granted, it came after GW. That was hyperbolie. but it is in fact the constitutional remedy and any argument against it is simply an argument to do nothing.

He is unable/unwilling to discharge his duty. 100% Fact.
The Constitution gives us A25 as a direct remedy. 100% Fact.

We have a constitutional solution for the exact issue at hand. Oppose it or don’t. your call.
