#54 The Temptations: Papa Was a Rolling StoneWhen I did the songbook of Norman Whitfield, I gave special attention to this number. Its his masterpiece. The sense of atmosphere and the use of the instruments is incredibly imaginative. It was butchered for the single, but this is the 12 minute album version. You dont cut a Picasso to fit the frame!
