Terry Thames brings to her clients over 17 years of advocacy and legislative management and strategic communications experience working for and with government entities and for both the corporate and non-profit sectors.
She served collectively for 10 years as a key member of U.S. Senator Trent Lotts staff in Washington, DC, working with the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Additionally, Terry served as Senator Lott’s Legislative Assistant for appropriations, healthcare, labor, and education legislative issues. She was later named Special Assistant to Senate Majority Leader Lott managing his business outreach, constituent services, and public engagement.
Terry’s work with corporate trade associations includes congressional and public affairs work at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and federal and public affairs work at America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). Terry began her work at AHIP as Federal Legislative Analyst and was subsequently promoted to Manager of External Communications.
