What is a royal? I know what a giant is. I have heard the term royal watcher, but I don’t think there talking about baseball. The various fish and bird names are odd to me. About the only sport you could get an animal to play would be a gorilla playing rugby. He has the size for football but might have trouble with off sides calls. It would cool if somehow the Cowboys could play the Indians.
Kansas City is home to an organization called “American Royal”, which is a livestock exhibition and civic association that dates back to the 19th Century. The name of the baseball team derives from that.
