I was just reading on another site about how well all the prospects Houston traded for him seem to be panning out well (in the minors) and because of it, Houston is expected to be a much more formidable team next season. I don’t follow minor league ball, but regardless of whether that’s true or not, seeing him traded was just painful.
I’ve never seen anybody who busts their butt playing quite as much as Hunter Pence, even in his last season here when Houston was just hopeless and everyone else was simply going through the motions he played with the same level of intensity.

Everyone in the Bay Area is rooting for the Giants, as are all those in the rest of the country that have an unnatural attraction to “ bats and balls”.

Oops. It started in 2012. Time flies.
The idea is to avoid teams ‘coasting’ once they get the wildcard. Two wildcards with just a one game playoff is too risky for a team to relax.

Hey real fans stick with their teams even if they lose badly. Bad baseball is better than no baseball at all.

Yep, the last to do more damage to the game than Selig was the ‘19 Black Sox.

Selig’s legacy will be sealed when, one of these years, the World Series will be between two 81-81 teams.

I will never forgive that SOB for sending my team to the AL.

Kansas City is home to an organization called “American Royal”, which is a livestock exhibition and civic association that dates back to the 19th Century. The name of the baseball team derives from that.

Giants fan here and I agree with you completely. Matheny would be snatched up by another team quickly. First class baseball mind there always. Even after a great career ended by concussions.
