And while some military personnel will be testing blood samples in mobile medical labs, "they're not going there to be placed in direct contact with any Ebola patients,"That is just peachy. No contact with patients, but will have contact with their blood. I have a lot of confidence in our leaders. NOT. The law of averages says some of them will get it. I imagine there will be some really pissed off people when it happens.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
