Then why move?
Just sayin.
No. They just need to not be split a million directions. They want to focus on the potential cases, on monitoring that long list of heath care workers. Keep in mind many of their critical care workers are under quarantine. Now perhaps they could treat Nina since she already has it, but I am sure it would be difficult emotionally for them to do that. And how do they travel to and from under quarantine. No, transferring Nina does make sense. Their available staff has to be greatly reduced at this time.

Why did this take so long? The other nurse went straight to Emory.
the dallas hospital has “lost” a slew of caregivers to voluntary quarantine, haven’t they? so probably best to ship the patients out to specialized centers.
Can’t believe there haven’t been other threads about this? I heard mention of it this morning.
Bring Out Your Dead
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Emory can only treat three patients. They have one so Pham was sent to Bethesda. We are not ready for this is an understatement.
