Is Obama trying to provoke some sort of crisis in the military? If some or all of these units refuse to go, what happens? Can Obama claim there is a coup brewing and impose martial law?
This may be straying into tin foil hat territory, but I wonder how much more people will take until there is widespread rebellion. As the Chinese curse goes, we live in interesting times.

Sounds like a plan. If he plans to take over, the job is going to be tougher then he thinks. Just think, the greatest nation taken down by a two bit community organizer. But, then again, look at the house painter in Germany.
If there was a coup, who would enforce his martial law? The Supreme Court?
