'Who's the idiot with the clipboard?' Disbelief and panic as mystery man WITHOUT a hazmat suit helps second Ebola nurse board her plane to Atlanta, disposes waste and then climbs aboard (full title)
Man casually dressed in shirt and pants seen on TV walking with Ebola patient Amber Vinson
He carried a clipboard and walked alongside Ms Vinson and healthcare workers who were ALL dressed in Hazmat suits
He has been identified as a supervisor for Phoenix Air, the company that flew Miss Vinson to Atlanta
Miss Vinson walked onto the plane in Dallas and the man without protection also boarded the plane, flying with her to Atlanta, Georgia
Social media has dubbed him the 'clipboard man' -
As news helicopters swarmed over Dallas' Love Field on Wednesday evening to watch the second U.S. nurse to contract Ebola board a private plane bound for Atlanta, one lone mysterious man stood out from the pack.
Holding a clipboard and directing the transfer, the unidentified man seemed to be the only person on the tarmac without protective clothing, wearing just a button down shirt and slacks.
While Ebola is not an airborne disease, his presence so close to patient Amber Vinson's medical team sparked fears after he was seen grabbing a container and Hazmat trash bag from one of the workers' in full-protective gear and later boarding the flight.
He then flew with Vinson and the other Hazmat-suited medical staff to Atlanta and local television crews spotted him with the stricken nurse as she disembarked at the airport in Georgia to be transferred to Emory University Hospital.
When the plane landed in Atlanta, the man had still not donned any protective clothing and was seen openly interacting with Vinson and the other medical professionals caring for the nurse.

Is the LEO still OK; has he gotten over whatever it was that sent him to CareNow?
Are the pilots in Hazmat suits?
If University of Nebraska had any integrity, they would revoke degree of Dr. “Soups” Snyderman.
Fearless slip n' fall lawyer tampering with evidence, signing up witnesses and potential class action clients.
Why is this man not afraid of Ebola?

Lol at professional courtesy!

He's standing a little further back from the 3 others.
A lot smarter than the other 3!
I think clipboard guy screwed up. His pride got the better of him and he’s saying “look at me! Look at me! I’m special! I’m important! I’m IMMUNIZED!” He’s gonna get come down upon hard for that little oversight.
“Hes gonna get come down upon hard for that little oversight.”
But how many people may he have already infected if he has in fact been infected himself?
“Airborne” = spread by droplets from coughs and sneezes.
Obama playing word games again.

Doctor: Ebola Might Be Transmitted In Air Via Droplets
DALLAS (KRLD) The executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons says that despite what the CDC is saying, Ebola might be transmitted by breathing.
What were suggesting is that it is very dangerous to assume that one cannot ever acquire Ebola from an aerosol or from breathing, said Dr. Jane Orient.
Two healthcare workers at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas have now been infected with the disease, despite insisting that protocol was followed. Dr. Orient wont rule out an airborne infection.
When a patient vomits, has diarrhea, undergoes medical procedures, or even flushes the toilet, theres just a cloud that contains pathogen virus particles, says Dr. Orient.
Dr. Orient says that when an aerosol dries up, droplet nuclei remain suspended in the air for a long time. A recent research study suggests that Ebola could remain infectious in an aerosol for more than an hour.
The droplets are just too small to be captured by standard medical masks, says Dr. Orient. A possible solution? Powered, air-purifying respirators for healthcare workers.
In the laboratory, you actually breath air from the outside, which means youre either tethered to your air supply or maybe you carry something like a scuba tank that has air that does not come from the room.
Dr. Orients findings directly contradict what the CDC has been saying. They also contradict statments made by President Barack Obama.
Speaking in a video message to the people of West Africa last month, President Obama provided advice on how residents can avoid Ebola. The first step: know the facts.
First, Ebola is not spread through the air like the flu, said President Obama. You cannot get it from casual contact like sitting next to someone on a bus.
Thomas Frieden, director of the CDC, vetted the message on Wednesday, calling it accurate.
If youre a member of the traveling public and are healthy, should you be worried that you might have got it by sitting next to someone? And the answer is no.
However, Frieden did say that Ebola patients do pose a risk if they become ill, which could expose those around him.
Dr. Orient also takes issue with the CDCs conclusion that a person is not infectious until symptoms are present.
Maybe they are even more contagious before they get symptoms, such as in influenza, says Dr. Orient. How can we be sure that Ebola is any different? We certainly dont have any experimental evidence for it. How do you even know if someone will come down with Ebola five days from now so that you can test if theyre transmitting the virus now?
Dr. Orient has submitted testimony that will be read at a CDC hearing on Thursday
“nothing more than fear mange ring control”
What? :) Heh.

All y’all, Ping!
Carthego, many thanks for finding this!
So if this is SOP for Phoenix Air when transporting Ebola cases, there should be an unprotected Clipboard Man in the photos when they unloaded the Samaritans Purse doctors... There will also be an unprotected Clipboard Man in all future loading and unloading of Ebola cases into and out of their aircraft...
Strangely, an animal caretaker, John Coleus, who was doing a necropsy on a dead monkey, cut his thumb with a bloody scalpel, which is a major exposure to Ebola. Everyone expected him to die, but he never got sick. The virus entered his blood stream. The other two animal caretakers, however, did not cut themselves. The virus entered their bodies through contact with lungs; everyone at USAMRIID concluded that Ebola can spread through the air. (p. 254)
Peter Jahrling, who actually whiffed the Ebola and lived to tell about it, wondered, Why is the Zaire stuff hot for humans? Why isnt the Reston hot for humans, when the strains are so close to each other? The Ebola Reston virus is almost certainly transmitted by some airborne route. Those Hazleton workers who had the virusIm pretty sure they got it through the air. (p. 257)
Pictures of the lungs of a monkey infected with Ebola Zaire are fogged with Ebola. You can see Ebola particles clearly in the air spaces of the lung, said LTC Nancy Jaax, chief of pathology at USAMRIID in 1989, a participant in the Reston biohazard operation. (p. 260)
I've read nothing about him since.
He *probably* won’t catch it...but he’s stupid to risk it.
That, and most hazardous waste is only potentially hazardous, rather than actually hazardous.
Hazardous waste or biological waste? For instance, asbestos goes into a yellow bag with appropriate black warnings and must be double bagged to prevent airborne pollution. Bloodborne pathogens, blood shit, vomit, wipes, etc goes into red bags. Needles, sutures and staples go into hard case red containers (jugs, I guess). Hazardous waste does not mean you need protection (eg spent automotive batteries), such as HazMat gear. BBP does not mean you need a Biological HazMat suit (Such as Aids, Mersa, etc.), but in the case of Ebola, we DO NOT know what this disease is. We NEVER had a case of this in the USA until the Mocha Messiah got control. Ebola has never existed in THESE environmental conditions, these sanitary conditions and these transportation systems. I FEAR our sanitary facilities (sewers, drainage systems and the general complacently of the people and governments) could allow this to go “wild”. I DO NOT mean to be reactionary, but there a LOT of unknowns and we need to eradicate the cases we are sure of, prevent the ones we can by quarantine of those countries, and allow the ones overseas to eradicate themselves, thereby stopping it where it came from (until the next time).
Good point.
