The potential Civil Liability cost of mishandling a single Ebola sample is just astronomical.

I have said from the beginning that once things get going, it will be the fear of LIABILITY LAWSUITS that will shut things down in America.

Ebola is a level 4 biohazard.

Very few places in the U.S. are equipped and trained to deal with that level of biohazard.

Look at the required protections for level 4:

Civilian labs and hospitals are neither trained nor equipped for this.

Threatens the health of their employees. Lawsuits eminent. Not gonna take that chance. Don’t blame them. Doctors will follow. They will not put their children at risk for their chosen profession. Exit visas eminent for health care workers of all stripes. The walls are going to be torn down before our very eyes.
