Since well before any state had legalized pot, teens have reported that they could get it more easily than beer or cigarettes ... which is to be expected since legal sellers card and illegal sellers don't.

Reminds of how easy it was for me to get alcohol when I was underage. A card means nothing.

Pot was a lot more difficult to come by (for me).

Naturally availabilities vary from one place to another - but the nationwide figures say pot is easier for kids to get.

And with people promoting it's use as not that harmful,

Who says that? Not the state governments that have legalized it.

as a underage kid, heck why not try it. It is “legal” after all

As are alcohol and tobacco - should those be banned to send a message to kids?

and it actually “cures cancer” or some bs line like that. After all it is “medical” and so it must be good for you.

Yeah, that's why kids are scarfing down blood pressure medicine and menopause hormones.

> Not for me. It had two problems: lack of availability and it had a stigma. Both of those issues are gone now.

> No just the people trying to justify the legalization. I have heard many times that it isn't as bad for you as cigs and that is bs. And don't be fooled, our children are hearing it too and a kid, wouldn't have tried it before, will try it now.

> Well yes. Actually, it is banned for kids. However, I was never told that neither weren't harmful to me. And no doubt, it will be a lot available now than ever before.

Yeah, that's why kids are scarfing down blood pressure medicine and menopause hormones.

> No doubt yes, if those meds gave a person a high.... but they don't. Funny thing too — you need a doctor's prescription to use the meds that you mention.
