That certainly cleared my sinuses up. I remember that day well.

Refresh my memory since for me it was about 45 years ago. I vaguely remember being told that it wasn't actually tear gas cannisters in that room but rather a "milder" form designed to get the lesson across to us.......Am I correct?

If it wasn't "real" tear gas it certainly was pungent...........LOL!

I don’t know what they used. All I remember is that they put a tiny amount on the burner when we walked in. All exposed skin began to sear (neck and wrists). We were told to take a big breath and take the masks off. Then we had to wait for them to open the door. Felt like an eternity. They key was staying calm while holding your breath. Some dudes freaked out and they got it the worst. As we ran out the door snot came pouring out of our faces while our skin burned and itched. If that was mild stuff, I’d hate to see the real stuff. Terrible way to go.
