Obeidi was an Iraqi nuclear scientist who is known to have worked in Libya’s nuclear program and thus with the yellowcake from Niger ; it was his garden in Iraq where the prototype of an enrichment centrifuge was found buried after the invasion, along with quantities of plans, documents and research materials Iraq might find useful in the future.
