HARRISBURG – The Corbett-Cawley campaign today drew attention to Secretary Tom Wolf’s ever-evolving excuses as to why he cannot provide the details on his plan to raise the income tax rate by 188 percent. Wolf embraces his inner-Nancy Pelosi in his latest excuse, arguing that the voters are not allowed to see what is in his tax plan until the election is over.

Correct. Corbett tried for 1 and 3. (2 is a stupid idea that I’m glad failed). The liberal union backed republican legislature screwed him and let those two issues die.

I will vote for Corbett but I won’t vote for anyone who didn’t try and pass the privatization measure.

Corbett is going to lose anyway though.

Nitey, children....I rest my case. Fools such as yourselves allow the likes of Harry Reid to control our destiny.

Just keep those blinders on, as you enjoy what you have reaped.

Quit the dishonest and deceitful debate tactics.

You haven't made any case, but just keep proving how Moderates-Loving and RINO-Loving supporters such as yourself have your heads in the sand.

The only ones to blame for Harry Reid and Obama are those in the GOP (The GOP-E) who have walked away from Reagan's limited government message and strong support of social issues. That would include you and people like you who support Moderate and Liberal so-called Republicans like Romney, in essence, giving aid and comfort to the enemy in our ranks.

If you, and those like you, would spend your time fighting back against the GOP-E, with the same energy that you fight against conservatives and falsely blame them, maybe the GOP-E would get the message and capitulate.

You're the one with the blinders on.

At this point in the election cycle, there is no way to fight against the GOPE. You are being short sighted if you think we should allow Harry Reid to maintain his position for some grudge match or sense of purity.

Ted Cruz stumped for Pat Roberts, as did Sarah Palin and for good reason. They understand the need to start with a democrat defeat in the Senate, they're clearly not part of the purity assinity of FR.

You need to think more clearly ahead, when (hopefully) Cruz wins the nomination, and then the presidency, he will need all the help in the Senate he can get in order to govern, and that ain't coming from the rats. I'm surprised you don't understand that Cruz won't govern like the dictator we have now, and he will need a GOP congress, as heavily weighted as possible.

Kindly think a little deeper on this.

Ah, yes… because the Republican party has stood a stalwart opposition against him.
Tell me, what universe are you in where they have spines?

Just keep those blinders on, as you enjoy what you have reaped.

Yes, we're the blind ones; despite the evidence of the last decade, it's us who are at fault for finding the Republican party's mere words lacking substance.

You are missing my point.

I am not against Pat Roberts, and I am not for purity.

That being said, there are three hot-button issues that if a candidate is supporting them, I don't vote for them, either in the Primary or General.

Those are:

1. Abortion
2. The Gay Agenda
3. Amnesty

If a candidate, or the GOP wants my vote, they will not support any of those three.

My principles are formed from my Christianity.

My Christianity is non-negotiable, therefore, the principles formed by my Christianity are also non-negotiable.

As a Christian I cannot compartmentalize different sections of my life and apply my Christianity to some parts and not to others. It is either 100% or it doesn't mean squat.

With regard to thinking clearly ahead, thank you for our concern, but I know I am thinking clearly on this matter.

If the GOP wants my vote, then they will not put up or support those candidates that are on the wrong side of these evil issues, period!

Question: How would allowing GOP wins change things? This is to ask, what in recent history shows that the GOP having more power, in any shape or form, would be rightly used?

Or, to draw on a common christian parable:

(Matthew 25:14-30)
“For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.

He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master's money.

Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.’

His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.’

His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.’

But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The Republican party, as a party, has proven themselves to be wicked and slothful servants, squandering that which was given them — why do you wish to reward them?

I did not miss the point at all.

There are NO pro life democrats. NO anti-amnesty democrats. NO pro family democrats.

Not one.

When Cruz becomes president, he can't work with anyone in the other party as a result. NOT ONE. He can, like Reagan, move RINO squishes to the right, he can get them to move with him on an agenda for the good things we want. He cannot do that with the totalitarian left as consituted in the dem party. He can also scare the crap out of a few to vote with him if he rolls in with a popular mandate.

Like I said, Cruz and Palin understand this, and you ought to as well. Off to bed, think about it and respond in the morning rather than being so knee jerk dismissive to so many who want the same good things as you do.

I plan on voting for Corbett, only to vote against Wolfie. I know Wolfie, and I know what he and his old money cronies have done to the city of York, PA.

We refuse to pick up the Battered-wife syndrome anymore.

I wonder if there are ANY Mississippi Freepers planning to vote for Thad Cochran. I know of NONE! Certainly none from this household.

Corbett is running for governor not the senate!! He doesn’t vote for anything. You have no idea what you’re talking about.

Yes, you are correct, he is running as Governor. And he does vote on something, in fact, his vote it the most important, you see, he can VETO any bill that hits his desk.

Furthermore, if you had been paying attention, you'd know I have been arguing against the concept that we vote for someone who is the "Lesser of two evils" thereby, in the process, sacrificing our most dear principles along the way for tribal politics.

Agreed, the old RINO blame the conservatives for losing just won’t wash anymore. I’ll vote for Corbett but you’ll have to pardon me for not wasting money or time on his campaign. After the gay marriage cave in, I called his office and told them I was done actively supporting a quitting loser.

So just to review, lets just look at the list of what we were promised by a Corbett administration:

1. Voter ID - passed late, stopped by judge, Corbett gives up refusing to fight further
2. Reallocate Electoral College votes by congressional district instead of overall to curb Philly fraud - Corbett gives up after whining by RINOs
3. Privatize State Stores - Corbett unwilling to go the mat against obstructing RINOs
4. No tax increases - Corbett caves to RINOs wanting to throw around PennDOT cash
5. State Pension Crisis - Corbett unwilling to go to the mat against union tool obstructing RINOs
6. Gay Marriage - activist ruling by Judge authorizes, Corbett gives up refusing to fight further

So I donate money and vote for Corbett and I don’t get anything I supported and my taxes go up OR I keep my money and have the democrat win and wind up with the same result. At least I have the money in my pocket for the new taxes.

Tom Corbett: “That boy got a lot of quit in him”

Conservatives aren’t battered wives anymore, get over it, get out of the way.

Excellent summary. I’d add failing to take a leadership role in getting property tax reform addressed, although that is directly tied to the state pension crisis.
