Hayes issued a statement saying that she was "not proud of that brief period of time" and claimed that "I was involved in an abusive relationship with a dangerous man.

Now there's a consultant-driven statement if I ever saw one. She's "not proud" -- check. It was a "brief period" -- check. And resulted from an "abusive relationship with a dangerous man" -- check.

Of course, she's lying about all of it -- she probably still thinks its cool that she was involved with growing pot. And the rest is all spin.

I doubt she'll ever see the inside of a court room for her admitted immigration fraud. At least here in Illinois we have the decency to put our political crooks in jail.
