A reporter who has been tracking iPhone 6 and 6 Plus reservations in China for the past week estimated on Tencent QQ Monday that more than 20 million units were pre-ordered last weekend. His report is being picked up by DigiTimes and other Asian tech sites.
If the 20-million figure is accurate a big if it would mean that five times as many iPhone 6s were pre-ordered in three days in one country as were the first weekend in 10 countries, including the U.S., U.K. and Hong Kong.

I want my free Oibamaphone!
ping!
I bought the 6 for me and the 6+ for the wifey. Love the phone and both of us are falling in in love with Siri. Terrific phones. They replaced a 4 and a 5. We wanted the larger screen sizes.
My phone will be here on Thursday its been a long wait!
I strongly recommend to update your iTunes, and then sync your iPhone 6 with it (use the cable). This is because it will download iOS 8 and then iOS 8.0.2.
Once you get the iOS 8 then you have to back it up. through iTunes. Then update it to to iOS 8.0.2 back it up again through iTunes, and then update your Apps in the App store. After each back up, I disconnect and reconnected the iPhone 6 to iTunes.
Nevertheless, after all that(3 hours).. it's been smooth ever since. The more I use it the more I like it. The iPhone 6 4.7 is much larger than the iPhone 5.
Oh and did not think I would like the Touch ID and Passcode but I do. I ended up doing both thumbs instead of one.
How long was the wait, and what carrier?
The urban sheeple and Konformists cannot afford to start a family or buy a house but they can afford the latest iPhone. Can’t buy a BMW or Mercedes, cannot afford more than one child, but you can afford iphone six.
It is a luxury you can afford and gives you bragging rights
Anyway this was on Sunday Afternoon at little after 5pm on Oct 5th with AT&T. They shipped it on Monday at 12:25am (7 hours later). So it was about 7 days coming straight from China.
For the record I'm a home owner, but no I do not own a BMW or Mercedes.
If you think about it. A BMW/Mercedes depreciates faster in the first 3 years than an iPhone.
Same, same and same!!!
And I’m also VERY much in love with my Apple stock. hehe
Interesting. We ordered at the ATT store at the end of Sep. Black/Grey 16, White/Silver 16, and a Black/Grey 64 6+. We were told the 16s would ship in “a couple days” and the 6+, “a couple weeks” even though the paperwork had separate dates ranging from 10/6 to 11/15.
The Black/Grey 16 shipped the next day. The White/Silver date has changed a couple of times and is now back to the original date. No news on the 6+ at all.
It's just like going through AT&T. No different, but you get your iPhone faster since you are going right to the source.
I did the same thing when the iPhone 5 came out 2 years ago with the same results.
You are not the typical urban sheeple that is Apples target demographic to sell to
Tried that. The site wouldn’t work. When going through the Apple site it couldn’t find my ATT account. Tried it over several days. I’m guessing it’s on the ATT side of that though.
You obviously have no idea what it cost to get married, have babies, raise families, medical insurance, buy homes, cars more insurance etc...You're comparing these brutally expensive things to a cell phone?
Face it, the American way of life has become unobtainium for most young Americans...
Those days are gone. Zip
It found my AT&T account with no problem.
Did you try flushing your cache on your device before doing it again?
If so or you did it on a different device, then I guess you should ask AT&T? I’ve been with AT&T for a long time (over 15 years). Who knows?
Thanks for the info. Yeah, I watched it come from China, right now it’s in Kentucky! Lol.
Let me guess... Louisville? And prior to that Alaska and Korea?
When I bought my iPhone 4s at an Apple Store two years ago, the Apple techs had all kinds of problems with ATT to get my account set up. It took 3 hours and an intervention by the Apple central tech control office for ATT to get their act together.
