Republican Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts said Friday that he thinks the IRS targeting scandal was driven by Valerie Jarretts office in the White House, according to information that he saw that Democrats tried to whitewash.
Roberts told talk radio host Hugh Hewitt that he participated in a Senate Finance Committee investigation into the IRS scandal but the effort was made by the majority, by the Democrats in the Congress, to simply end that investigation, which he called a whitewash.

I don’t like these scorecards so much - they weight every issue the same - which is misleading - and there is no way to quantify intensity - in other words, is the guy just wrong on the vote, or does he crusade the wrong way all the time...and vice versa, is the guy merely right on the vote, or is he a leader on the issue.
Also, is the Senator from a conservative state, or a liberal state.....
All of these are CRUCIAL and none of these scorecards measure them. Maybe I’ll come up with one of my own.
Agreed, they’re limited. Just another tool.
yeah, but lotta folks, including Freepers, use them as gospel and exacting standards.
Roberts does something very right. That’s a good thing.
seems simple, doesn’t it.....
my only question is why it took him months to tell this story? Is it his tough election and so he needs to bring down someone that he was going to let slide because it was the TEA PARTY and Patriots? I have no faith in these old guys.
Well I can’t answer that - but I think it’s risky to assume this was the first time he had mentioned this. Not every good word gets press coverage.
I’d like to think that, but I scan the major conservative sites most days and this was the first “bomb shell” from old man Roberts.
still puts him ahead of McConnell, Cochran, Graham, Snowe, Collins, Preibus, Boehner, etc.......
that is the problem - if the story is true - why aren’t others taking up the message and pounding it into the pointy heads that don’t follow politics? OR why not have her called to congress to testify?
