Russian sanctions could be eased soon if Ukraine progress made: U.S. adviser

Talks on easing sanctions against Russia imposed over the conflict in Ukraine could begin in the next few weeks, but more measures are possible if there is no progress over a ceasefire deal, the U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser said on Friday.

The European Union and the United States have imposed economic sanctions on Russia, with the West accusing Moscow of providing pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine with troops and weapons. Russia denies the accusation.

Last month, envoys from Ukraine, Russia, and the separatists negotiated a ceasefire in Minsk, and U.S. adviser Tony Blinken said sanctions could start to be removed if conditions agreed were put into practice.

"Our hope over the next weeks is that we begin to implement that agreement in a meaningful way on the Russian side. And if that happens we can actually begin to talk about rolling back the sanctions," Blinken told reporters at a briefing in London.

~Get Russia’s troops out of Ukraine. Leave its people alone. You must have liked the Left since you’re a Putin supporter and he still is a communist in how he treats Russia’s neighbors and in all but name.~

Can you at least tell a definition of communism without Google reference?
That is you Achilles heel. You guys are all vulnerable and in a process of getting cannibalized by leftists because you are totally ignorant on that your enemy really is.

I think and event called 9-11 may have had something to do with US bombing/invading other countries. What is Russia’s excuse?

Read your nation’s history and you’ll know what communism is. Read a biography of Putin and his time in the KGB. Stop playing like you don’t know he was a communist. Were you?

You would make a perfect leftist agitator. I was asking a simple straight question. You haven’t answered, attacked me and then asked your question to change topic. So conservative of you!

That’s rich. A couple dozen Saudis perpetrated a NYC and Pentagon bombing, yet it was Saudis’ enemies were punished for this act.
What about Yugoslavia, Egypt, Lybia, Syria?

Islam knows no geographical boundaries. Nor political boundaries either. Ask the hundreds of “Brits,” “Americans,” “French,” etal, that traveled to Syria/Iraq to serve ISIS. It matters little where one is born or moved to. Not to Islamists.

Were you a communist under the USSR or weren’t you? I say you were. And I believe now you’re a mere Putinista agitator.

I learnt Soljenitsyn and Ayn Rand before puberty. I haven’t been a communist for a single day.

It’s funny that you don’t know how to spell Solzhenitsyn, then. I guess everyone is Russia likes him now that the USSR is gone. If you were an anti-communist, and I doubt it, you’d be against Putin as well because he too is a threat to individual freedom and self government. Your support for Putin only shows you’ve traded one slave master for another.

Ok clearly you see the US as the bad guy, the invader of nations. So why are you not also against the Russian invasion of Ukraine?

What foreign territory has the US recently acquired from conquest?

“Who has invaded or bombed more countries in the 21st century: U.S. or Russia?”

LOL ! The whole place is turning into a hub for anti-western propaganda.

The answer is Russia will continue seizing territories it desires from other countries in their rebuilding of the evil empire.

To seize territory and then try to manage that territory is an unenviable task. It's best to bomb, occupy for several years, bomb again, no ground troops, and let them sort out the mess. "Nation-building" is so very problematic, especially in Muzzie countries.

It is an imperative of his Foreign policy to stand with the Muslims in the Middle East and in Europe they are communists who are his buddies.

In some quarters, decades ago, it was known decades ago as "The Alliance of Reds (Communists) and Blacks (Islamists)", not specific to Europe only.

Bull. There is America and Amerika (or USSA). I like the first but the latter not so much.

~So why are you not also against the Russian invasion of Ukraine?~

You haven’t done a good job to dig for my position on Ukraine.

Are you kidding? There are different models for Empire. You can’t think limited to an ancient Rome type in 21 century.
And in it’s normal mode US is not one of these. But this recent ‘nation-building’ is all about that.
