If they don’t know what the breach was, there is no way to know whether or not there was a breach. This is just more spin and lies to lull people into a false sense of security.

That is possible, but they would have to hide the secondaries and so on. They would not be able to look for them openly. Or they simply forget about all the secondary contacts and let it spread and blow wide open after the election. All of those scenarios are far fetched.
