Hospitals do not have a place where the health care workers can get sprayed down. Most hospital rooms don't even have an anteroom I have worked security in hospitals.
They have full body overhead high volume sprays in morgues, pathology, surgical, biopsy labs, and adjacent to outside disposal containers....
Not to difficult to close them off and have additional chlorine based sprays.

I read they’re no longer accepting ER patients at that hospital. I assume they believe the entire ER is contaminated. If that’s the case, hundreds of people were exposed in a few days.

Not a chance. They will have an actor play the dead body in the casket. No way they will let one hair on the head of their precious Azaziel be harmed.

Right. Hair protection is not part of contact/droplet/standard (the “protocol”).

Last week Dr. Oz said on his show he was worried about it being spread by infected people sneezing.

To all the experts who say it can’t be spread through the air I ask:
Would you go into a room with an infected person who is sneezing and coughing?
And would you have sex with a person you know has aids? And that includes so-called protected sex.

I have never seen that part of the hospital as a nurse. That sounds like a good plan, to have those areas be designated a spray down area. However, you would have to seal it off from the rest of the hospital. and have a safe way in which hospital workers can get to that area, a “dirty” zone for entering, a “clean” zone for leaving.
I think this is what the CDC does, and to expose health care workers to a situation in which the CDC does not subscribe to, will cause nurses and physicians to quit.

From what I’ve seen it’s very involved. Also they generally wear two layers of gloves.

I work with some African immigrants that do go back to the “old country” once in a while. Imagine how they’ll be treated if they get a runny nose due to a head cold.

Makes sense, thanks.
My main gripe with that press conference, was the woman was portrayed as “breaking protocol”, and they seemed to be using her as a scapegoat, blaming her for coming down with Ebola instead of treating her like the victim that she is. Just MHO

This nurse had contact with him after he was admitted and was suited up. What about all those who weren’t suited up?
