It’s a toughy. I don’t like nations security secrets being exposed like this, but it exposed that the NSA views the American people as enemies of the US government.
Cases like him are why such unauthorized disclosures are considered to be disinformation. Accepting his statements as unquestioned authority is to accept a flawed premise.
He has proven that he cannot be trusted with secrets beyond his own FSB & Guardian handlers. In the case of the former, they’re not above using anyone as a way to pump him dry of information. In the case of the latter, they get a free pass to show their contempt for the West.
If Snowden had done his deed on Bush’s watch he would be a hero of the left. I don’t know why anyone is upset with him; he exposed the US government (under OBAMA) as the enemy of American citizens, and we should appreciate that.
He vindicated a lot of conspiracy theorists; they were absolutely right to distrust the government, and in suspecting our government viewed us as more of a threat than the next potential 9/11 bad guys...
