They hide this discrimination with the requirement that employees be “bilingual.”
So the emphasis is not on the quality of the employee, but whether they can speak Spanish, or what passes for Spanish now.
I speak German. Does that qualify as bi-lingual?
This is going on in a lot of areas. Once a lefty Hispanic is hired as the manager...there goes everyone of other races. They hired a Hispanic manager and within a couple of months we had all much younger, Hispanic cashiers.
My Walmart in TX is all Hispanic employees. I did not witness the transformation of that store. The “friendly greeter” no speaka English.
The next step will be : neither Mexicans nor Central Americans will hire each other.
Never put Mexican staff with Central American staff in a restaurant kitchen . They will fight everyday: words then knives.
