Former President Jimmy Carter is criticizing President Barack Obamas Middle East policy, saying he has shifting policies and waited too long to take action against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
In an interviewed published Tuesday in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the 39th president said the Obama administration, by not acting sooner, allowed ISIL to build up its strength.
[W]e waited too long. We let the Islamic State build up its money, capability and strength and weapons while it was still in Syria, he said, using an alternate name for the terrorist group. Then when [ISIL] moved into Iraq, the Sunni Muslims didnt object to their being there and about a third of the territory in Iraq was abandoned.

When will this mad cow infected human booger kick the bucket?
He created the atmosphere in which this crap thrives to begin with.
Without a terrorism supporting regime in Iran, many of the nightmares since would never have come about.
If Jimmy Carter is saying that the way a President is handling Islamic terrorism is not strong enough, that’s bad.
sort of like michael moore accusing others of being fat...
I think Obama has officially hit bottom. If Carter is criticizing King O’s policy with ISIS (what policy?),,then someone has just switched on the fan.
Wow. Never thought I’d read anything like this.
Even a broken clock...
...
However, Carter is an expert on blowing it.
In this case, he is a blind squirrel who happened to find a nut.
In short, the Democrats are tripping all over themselves now to throw Obama under the bus before he destroys their party.
I remember watching that on a split screen television; Reagan being sworn in on the left screen, the plane load of hostages on the tarmac on the right side. As soon as Reagan completed the swearing in, the Iranian guards stepped out of the path of the plane and signaled it to take off.
Walter Cronkite was practically in tears as he prattled on about how poor Jimmy had done all the heavy work of negotiation and had to leave office before it came to fruition.
Ronald Reagan was such a class act that he asked Jimbo to go greet the plane when it arrived on U.S. soil a few days later. As I recall, there was a few day's stop at our airbase in Germany to medically examine and debrief the hostages.
...or Bob Uecker calling someone a lousy hitter.
You have to wonder if this administration is astute enough of history to understand just how bad it is that Carter, of all people, has just dissed them. Ol Jimmy must be loving life these days knowing he will no longer be judged as the worst president in modern times. He now has the freedom to “look down” on obama and company and “correct” them. Very embarrassing for 0’s administration.
ISIl includees land that ISIS wants and then will become ISIL. ISIS = Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, ISILO + Islamic State of Iraq and Levant. Levant = Syria Jordan and Israel. obama like to refer to them as ISIL as if it is a done deal.
The move to separate themselves from the bamster is in full swing, the humor in them trying to claim it was his fault and they were innocent bystanders in all this almost makes me want to laugh. Crying or puking might be more appropriate.......
I think what Carter meant to say is that Obama waited too long and should have immediately surrendered when given the opportunity.
Even Carter criticizes Obama!!!
Obama became a fire hydrant where even dogs will urinate
Interesting that JC is going along with the “Islamic State” nomenclature.
Usually I agree, but I think he’s right on this one. Sad when Jimmy Carter, the ultimate wimp, says someone wimped out.
Obama was raised a Sunni. Just follow who he has supported and opposed in the Middle East, and it’s no surprise to see he supports ISIS.
Jimmy trying to help his son’s campaign for office.
