This newspaper has been in and out of bankruptcy so many times I’ve lost count. IIRC, the first post-Annenberg (Triangle publications , Inquirer, Daily News, TV Guide)owner was Knight-Ridder, the scion who had taken over the company was openly homosexual, they ran it into the ground in the 35 years they owned it. At one point since 1980 or ‘81 I researched what was my impression at the time, and confirmed it, namely that the first mention made of AIDS, or ARC as it was known in those days , was that it was “breaking into the general population.” They’ve beaten the drum for the homosexual agenda, censored material contrary to it, and lied to advance it for decades. That in general has been their approach to reporting the news. I think I’ve not bought an Inquirer since the Phillies won the series in 2008; there’s really no news content.

I used to justify/rationalize buying books (the $1.00 kind
as they were then) on the basis I didn’t buy newspapers.
and $2.00 a week was cheaper than papers. (and IIRC even
with a subscription)

now nearly no one buys newspapers.

I don’t know what people with birds in cages do now,
