You might want to bite the bullet and take one for the team. This MAY help to wake up the lofos.
I wish gas stations would post the amount of tax per gallon of gasoline.
And I wish taxes weren’t withheld from paychecks. Mark Levin said it would be one of his first initiatives if he were elected president.
“You might want to bite the bullet and take one for the team. “
No thanks, but will decline to visit any who do this.
“I wish gas stations would post the amount of tax per gallon of gasoline.’
Me too. It would become crystal clear to those who fillup who gets the money they are spending. Oil companies get pennies per gallon while the govt gets much much more, using the oil companies as tax collectors.
BTW, the gas pump is an excellent place for advertisements. I used to make up lots of stickers and place them on the pump for the next guys to see that said things like “Like the price per gallon you are paying for gas? Thank a Democrat.”
Wish they did here too!!
I'm in OK...now!!!
There are many places online where you can get post-it notes pre-printed - I ordered some with the federal and state excise taxes listed, and then add in the local sales tax and total it, and place it right below the price on the pump.
Only had one gas station complain, I stopped going there.
The gasoline tax is posted right there on the pump, in the form of a sticker, in a place no one ever pays attention to.
“And I wish taxes werent withheld from paychecks”
All those things you’ve mentioned hide the taxes paid, allowing the dumbed down steeple to be clueless about how much they are paying. And they are indeed ignorant!
When I went from 40 hours a week to 25-30 so my son wouldn’t have to go to daycare, I had coworkers ask how I could afford it. When I told them I paid 50% of what I earned in taxes, they wanted to know why ‘I’ was taxed so high, clueless that as second income earners with their husbands making the same as mine, they were taxed in the same bracket I was. Even after showing some the very simple math, they still didn’t get it.
So sad.
