These nutbags are certainly entitled to their opinion, and may even have a point about how livestock and poultry are treated, but they really need to keep their protests outside of private businesses - or be arrested for trespassing and causing a disturbance.
I read a few of the comments, and one of them that I enjoyed most had the poster commenting that he’d gotten a cluckle out of watching the video. Reading that made me cluckle, too.
I wish they would try it in a restaurant where I was eating, I would throw meat at em.
It’s perfectly O.K. to eat snow....as long as it’s not yellow...
Look, I’ll be the very first person to agree that factory farming of chickens is completely inhumane, it truly is, anyone who believes its not is not remotely familiar with it at all.
However, part of the reasons it has gotten so inhumane is because of idiotic groups like this.
You can’t have your chicken barns open, so that fresh air can get in and ventilate, because radical folks like this will show up with video cameras, and film what they view to be abuses... and yes folks some things that go on are without question abuse.
However, because of folks like this filming, chicken barns are not open, so these chickens live their entire lives sweltering and being gagged by the ammonia created by their own waste. So, what is not a great life to begin with is even MORE inhumane.
I will be among the first to advocate laws do need to be changed around the treatment of these animals, but people like this group are just idiots.
Yes, these animals are bred and destined to be slaughtered, however that does not mean they should not be given basic respect while alive. CHicken farming is not what it used to be, it is indeed cruel to the birds, and not just oh they are going to die type cruel I mean they deserve better in their time on this planet type cruel.
With all that said however, this person and the folks and groups like her are just flat out idiots. Their hijinks do nothing to help anyone or anything but themselves.
My Nebraska in-laws saw their chickens off in a humane manner.
They stepped on the chicken’s head and then grasped the little feathered body and pulled its head off.
There was no undignified running around headless and they could squirt the blood where they wanted.
Were it my restaurant, I would ask them to leave. If they didn’t, they’d get a meat-powered beatdown, probably severe enough to put them in intensive care.
If I were a patron at a restaurant, and someone like this mentally-ill freak interrupted my meal with their insane rant, I’d also likely administer the meat-powered beatdown.
Let ‘em sue me. F’ em.
