Society has concluded that it will not make alcohol illegal, even though statistically causes far more societal harm than illegal drugs because, on balance, the prohibition is worse than the abuse.
We have come to the same conclusion regarding pot. A study which shows that the harm of legalizing pot is worse than the harm caused by the war against pot might be of some instruction. Otherwise, drink up or light up, the study is BS-that means besides the point.
If prohibition failed, then the war on some drugs is an egregious failure as well. It’s pathetic that controlled substance laws designed to protect people are not applied to the deadly and addictive drugs nicotine and alcohol as well.
I guess Phillip Morris and Anheuser Busch give too much money to their congressmen to let that happen.
Since you make your mark with the liberal drug pushers on marijuana, do you also think all drugs should be legalized like many of them do?
If so, then you are deceiving yourself and have no valid argument about "harm". A dope fiend will plagiarize from the myriad of websites for losers, that they have bookmarked, to show fragments of data that alcohol is worse in one way or another than any other drug.
If not, then you are also deceiving yourself - by drawing a line behind marijuana, deep down you agree that throwing gasoline on a fire is not a very good idea.
Btw I don't happen to drink alcohol. I accept alcohol as a cultural inheritance... doesn't mean I am open to liberal drug freaks flushing society down the toilet just like they are flushing themselves down the toilet.
