Unfortunately in the society we live you and I end up footing the bill and the societal costs of people deciding to ruin their health and their lives.

If you're going to support marijuana prohibition based on 'societal costs', then you validate the argument of nanny-statists, who are rapidly gaining control over what we eat.

By societal costs I meant costs to you and me as individuals who make up society.

There is a limit to my libertarianism, though. How about yours. Do you favor laws against drunk driving. Or street sign laws?
