A FOURTY FOUR HOUR HOME SEARCH FOR METH????? Why? was the quantity so high and potent, or were there 38 otherwise unoccupied officers out trying to impress the Chief? I don’t understand why so many officers were put onto this.

Because they shot and killed a man over the word of a car thief. They were probably desperate to find something, anything. I'd imagine as the hours wore on, the dreaded feeling of "we really f###'ed this up good." must've manifested itself.

Doesn't anybody do any investigating anymore? Any detective work? Or is it just, "thief says he found the drugs in the car he stole. Let's put on our cammies and go kick his door down."

Exactly right. I'm very surprised they didn't "find" something, though.

The claim by this crook should have begun an investigation, not a raid.
