The United States top infectious-disease doctor suggested Sunday that more people inside the country will be diagnosed with Ebola, but dismissed as far-fetched concerns about somebody bringing the deadly disease across the U.S.-Mexico border in a bio-terror attack.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, told Fox News Sunday that 50 people inside the country are now being monitored for the deadly virus and that the countrys first confirmed patient, Thomas Eric Duncan, is back in critical condition at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

Because by the time they are symptomatic, they cannot walk. It’s pretty simple. Combine that with the relatively short incubation time (most come within 2-10 days) and the patient would not be an effective time bomb.
Now something like small pox or a variation of the H5N1 would be a good killer.
I did not see in the story the Doc’s supporting evidence to back up his claims.
Did Fox News just give him a pass on what ever he wanted to say? Did they not ask him to explain his statements?
Or are we to the point now that anyone can say anything without having to back it up or provide supporting evidence on TV?
“...but dismissed as far-fetched concerns about somebody bringing the deadly disease across the U.S.-Mexico border in a bio-terror attack.”
He is correct! How so?
Why go through the back door when the front one is open courtesy of Obama? This is bio-terror attack is courtesy of the POTUS.
Did Barack Obama Allow Ebola Into the U.S.?

” The White House said Wednesday it will not impose travel restrictions or introduce new airport screenings to prevent additional cases of Ebola from entering the United States.
Spokesman Josh Earnest said that current anti-Ebola measures, which include screenings in West African airports and observation of passengers in the United States, will be sufficient to prevent the wide spread of the virus.”

There’s no doubt that 0bama hasn’t done his job as president on this issue from the time he took office, in fact he’s done things to facilitate it.
Sure hope the backlash is reflected in this election.
I didn't see the sarcasm tag, but I think you should get out and observe people more. Look at the serious understanding of a Level 4 pathogen evidenced in the actions of the clean up crews in Dallas, for instance.
It takes more than covered sewers and antibacterial soaps to be hygienic--that part begins with the behaviours of the people involved. We have entire enclaves of people in major cities who just aren't hygienic.
Generally speaking, our streets are not sewers.
We have toilets inside our homes.
I am familiar with what level 4 means.
There are so many reasons that Ebola will not spreadhere as it does in third world cesspools. But, you are not in the right state of mind to hear that.
Live as though you are in the midst of a bad flu season and you will be fine.
Thanks for the ping!
I am more conscious of how a little dab of a contaminant can go a long way because of my work than most folks. I don't get the flu.
Most people aren't so imbued to that sort of situation, and millions catch the flu every year, despite vaccines.
So what makes you think that those protocols will be effective against Ebola in the wild?
Youre Welcome, Alamo-Girl!
